I am very excited to announce that my new website is up and running. And, as you can guess, so is my blog. I can rehash the gory details some other time, but I wanted to get this blog up and running. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic I am now teaching my classes and workshops online. You can read about all that here on my site, no no need to rehash it at this point in time. Please feel free the check out my full site here. I've added some new paintings with lots of nice detail shots. I'm very proud of how it all came together.
For those of you who have studied with me previously, the way I've set up my virtual studio takes my teaching to a whole new level. Students who have experienced me in both the live and the virtual venues say there's no comparison.
I have a new class starting May 1st. You can see the dates above. It's eleven classes, each running a minimum of 6 1/2 hours. I wanted to wait until the site was up so I had somewhere to direct people who wanted a more detailed synopsis. You can follow the link here to find out the class details. I know this isn't a lot of time to get everything together but the first week I'll be demoing during the entire class and that will give you a bit of a buffer. In the future I will be giving far more advanced notice.
The class size is limited to 15 people and the cost is $900. It will be on a first come, first served basis. So if you're interested please contact me as soon as possible.
I've included a few shots of the portrait demonstration I recently completed for the Saturday class which ended a week ago. Due to the wonders of this new technology, my students were able to view every brushstroke in full-screen high-definition 1080p resolution. This goes far above and beyond the typical Zoom classes you've experienced previously. The difference is truly startling.
Since I've gone the digital route the classes have been attracting folks from all over the USA and from as far away as Taiwan and Israel. No more schlepping art supplies through the subway or paying exorbitant prices for airfare, meals and hotel rooms.
Now that I, once more, have a site I can readily update, and a blog free from the limitations of Wordpress, you'll be hearing from me a lot more often. One last thing, I was able to transfer my old blog posts from Wordpress, however I couldn't integrate my new commenting system, Disqus, with the old Wordpress comments. If you choose to go back through the blogs, and would like to read the previous comments, just press the Previous Wordpress Blog Comments bar (see below) to reveal what was said in the past.
Take care and stay safe. Hope to see you soon.
Until next time...
